For the Bibleless Peoples
PartnerBible Translation
Bible translation is an integral part of fulfilling the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.
Need
About 2,200 languages have no Bible translation and no projects started. Less than 10% of the world's 7,000 languages have a full Bible translation.
Hope
Each new completed Bible translation brings hope to an entire people group. They can finally experience God speaking to them in a language they understand.
Missions
Missionaries can cross language barriers to share the gospel, but sustained discipleship requires an intelligible Bible that can be studied and cherished.
Partner
You can advance the mission of Bible translation by partnering with the Scacewaters’ Wycliffe ministry through prayer, financial giving, and encouragement. Our work will commence once we have a fully developed prayer and financial partnership team with commitments for giving equivalent to our Wycliffe ministry budget. Click “Partner” to learn how to partner financially, or e-mail scacewater@gmail.com with questions.
The Scacewaters
Todd and Dezi treasure God’s Word and love teaching it to others. They believe that sustained discipleship happens best when people have a Bible in their heart language that they can understand, study, and internalize. Learn more about the Scacewaters’ story and why they chose to serve with Wycliffe.
The Task
Todd trains aspiring Bible translators to better understand the Bible at the Dallas International University (Dallas, TX). His vision is that, when students graduate and join a translation team, their work will be as effective and accurate as possible.
